In the name of God Amen the twenty fourth day of February in the yeare of our Lord 1666 and in the nineteenth yeare of our most gratious Lord soverain Charles the second I Katharine Worthington of Cople within the county of Lancaster spinster, beinge sick and weak in body but of sound and perfect memory praised be God for the same and knoweinge the uncertainty of this life on earth, and being desirous to settle things in order; doe make this my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge; That is to say First & principally I commend my soule to almighty God my creator, assured by beliving that it shall reserve full remission of all my sins and be saved by the precious death and merits of my blessed saviour and redimer Christ Jesus, and my body to the earth to be buried in such deacient and Christian manner as my executors hereafter named shall be thought might and convenient . And as touching such worldly estate as the lord in mercy hath lent me, my will is expressed, and first I doe revoke, renounce frustrate and make void all wills by me formerly made and declared and appoint this my last will and testament . Item my will and mind is that my funeral expences and depts be truly paid and discharged; Item I give unto my bother John Worthington three shillings fourpence; Item I give unto my other brother three shillings fourpence; Item I give to Edward Pilkington three shillings fourpence; Item I give to John Taylor and Margaret Taylor, sonn & daughter of George Taylor all my goods & catells to bee equally to be divided amongst them; Item I doe lastly nominate and appoint Edward Worthington and Edward Pilkington executors of this my last will and testament in manner and forme followinge hopinge that they will execute the same as my trust is above all others is in them; In witness hereof I the said Katherine Worthington have hereunto put my hand & seale the day and yeare first above written
