In the name of God Amen. The seventeenth
day of February in the yeare of our lord god one thousand six hundred ninty and
three. I Anne Chissenhall of Coppull in the Countie of Lancaster widow beinge
weake of body but of good and perfect memory praysed be god fo the same doe
constitute ordaine and make this my last will and testament in manner and forme
followinge that is to say feirst and principally I commend my soule unto the
hands of almightly god my maker steadfastly trusting and unfainedly belevienge
that in and through the merits of his deare son and my alone saviour he will
raiset up att the last day to life and immortality and my body I commit to the
earthe from which it came and wither it must return e to be decently buried at
my parish church in Standish amongst my ancestors att the discression of my
executors here in and hereafter named and for and such temporall goods as it
hath pleased god in his mercy to bestow upon me heare in this life and dispose
of the sameas followeth. Impr[imis] my will and minde is and I doe will give
devise and bequeath unto my son John Chissenhall beinge out of the country if he
fortune to returne againe in life and safety five pounds but if he never returne
then to be left to my executors here afer named. Item I doe give and bequeath
unto my son Danniell Chissenhall the like summe of five pounds. Item I doe give
and bequeath unto Bryan Chissenhall whom I am grandmother unto five pounds. Item
all the rest residue and remainder of my whole personall estate I doe will give
and bequeath unto my son Edward Chissenhall after my funeral expenses and debts
and probate of this my last will and testament and lastly I doe constitute
ordaine nominate and appoint my sond Edward Chissenhall of Langtree my sole and
whole executor hereof renouncing and revoakeinge al former will or wills by me
made in any wide whatsoever hopeinge that my alone executor will see the same
performed as my whole trust and confidence is in him reposed far above all
others.
